Town of Farmington

Welcome to the

Town of Farmington
Established in 1788, Farmington is the western gateway to the beautiful Finger Lakes Region. Located on the state Thruway, the town is home to roughly 11,000 residents and boasts miles of rolling hills and farmland as well as a growing commercial hub, mostly centered on the community’s major highways, Routes 96 and 332. Still largely a farming community with small businesses growing and becoming a core part of the town, Farmington offers an excellent quality of life – Progressive Farmer Magazine in 2006 rated Ontario County the number one rural county in which to reside in the United States! – with several town parks, educational opportunities and a mixture of suburban as well as country living.
